Joann Li has been in pathology for 30 years, first as a Pathologists’ Assistant, then as an Administrator. She has been the Department Administrator/CFO at Columbia University for the past ten years. Joann is experienced in clinical laboratory operations, LIS implementation, human resources, research and education administration, and capital project management. Joann holds an MPH in Healthcare Administration from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She is the 2021-2023 Chair-Elect for the administrators’ section of the Association of Pathology Chairs (APC) and is on the Board of Directors for the Foundation for the Yonkers Public Library in her hometown.
