Dr. Martinez-Torres serves as President and Chief Physician Executive for NorDx Laboratories in Scarborough, Maine.
 
He is also a member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Board of Governors and serves as the Vice Chair of the Council on Education. Additionally, he is also a member of the Council on Informatics and Pathology Innovation; the Investment Committee and Finance Committee of the CAP; as well as the Governance Committee of the CAP Foundation.
 
Dr. Martinez-Torres has also served as President of the CAP Foundation, Delegate Chair to the House of Delegates, State Commissioner to the Laboratory Accreditation Program, State Pathology Society President, and as a member of the Engaged Leadership Network.
 
Other professional roles have included Enterprise Chief Medical Officer of Pathology Services for HCA Healthcare, Chief Medical Officer of Pathology and Laboratory Services for Ascension WI, Chief of Staff for Ascension Columbia-St. Mary’s Hospitals and Clinics, and President and Chief Executive for North Shore Pathologists, SC, in Milwaukee, WI.
 
He has served on several Boards and was President of Susan G. Komen, Wisconsin, and Vice Chair of the Ascension Wisconsin Foundation. Recently, Dr. Martinez-Torres was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross of Northern New England.
 
He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, completed an internship in General Surgery at the University of Illinois MGH program, residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, Davis, and a fellowship in Forensic Pathology at the University of California, Davis and Northern California Forensic Pathology group. He is board certified by the American Board of Pathology.
