Executive War College, The Nation’s Premier Conference on Clinical Lab Management,
Expects
Record-Breaking Attendance in 2023
AUSTIN, Texas (January 4, 2023) — This spring, a top-flight roster of lab innovators, lab experts, and lab leaders will gather in New Orleans, to learn, network, and collaborate at the 28th annual Executive War College on Diagnostics, Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Management. Themes at this year’s conference will address effective solutions to the acute shortage of lab staff, ways for labs to create new streams of profitable revenue, innovative approaches to working with managed care plans to improve payment for lab tests—particularly genetic tests, and more. The event takes place on April 25-26, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, just a few minutes from the historic French Quarter, and early registration activity points to record attendance.
During 2022, the nation’s clinical laboratories and anatomic pathology groups faced extreme challenges. For important reasons, 2023 may be the “year of opportunity” for forward-thinking clinical laboratory administrators, pathologists, and diagnostics company executives.
“Lab administrators and executives must take advantage of positive developments, including important advances in key diagnostic and digital technologies,” said Robert L. Michel, producer of Executive War College and Editor-In-Chief of The Dark Report. “At the same time, innovators also face a ‘perfect storm’ of challenges from lab staffing shortages and supply chain issues, all exacerbated by high rates of inflation currently forcing labs to increase salaries and pay more for lab supplies.”
“The Executive War College is in a unique position to lead the field and showcase the brightest and best in lab management and operations,” Michel noted. “The conference will feature 125 speakers in more than 80 sessions—each packed with actionable intelligence that attendees can take back and use to maximum effect in their own organizations.”
In addition to more than 80 information-packed presentations comprising an enlightening and expansive range of topics, Executive War College 2023 will also feature three different post-conference workshops and exhibits on genetic testing, digital pathology, and Lean fundamentals for lab leaders.
“Our expert content is what differentiates the Executive War College and provides true value to our attendees,” Michel said. “The event is fine-tuned to provide real-world solutions for laboratories and pathology practices to be successful. We will navigate, propose, and present solutions to the urgent issues that continue to challenge the clinical laboratory industry, including staffing, rising costs, tightening margins, regulations, and more.”
In addition to cutting costs, tackling staffing shortages, and generating more revenue, other session topics will include:
- Technology updates on automation, mass spectrometry, and digital pathology
- Mergers and Acquisitions for clinical laboratories and pathology groups
- Regulatory updates with Washington insiders
- Payer contracting trends
- Coding, billing, and collections updates with the nation’s experts
A maximum-capacity attendance is expected at this year’s 28th Anniversary Executive War College, so early registration is advised. For more information on Executive War College 2023, visit https://executivewarcollege.com. You may also contact Amanda Curtis at 512-264-7103.
