Cheryl Schleicher has more than 40 years’ experience in Healthcare IT. As a Director of LIS IT Strategy and Planning, Cheryl has been instrumental in building the Northwell Health Digital Pathology program within the Department of Pathology. Cheryl also leads the Data Science team for the Northwell Health BioSpecimen Repository (NHBR), an institutional asset that supports academic and industry research. Northwell’s digital pathology program includes clinical review of whole slide images in two tertiary hospitals and in 2024, includes expansion of the program to 8 additional hospitals in Metro New York. This program provides whole slide images for the NHBR, joining clinical and research objectives for improved patient care.
