Regina Galloway, MLS(ASCP)
I am a native of New Orleans from the Mid City area 4th generation Italian descent. I received my first Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge in Microbiology in 1996 working one year in Food quality for Diversified Food and Seasoning. My passion was to work in a hospital lab and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science in 1997 from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. I have certification from both ASCP and NCA. I worked as a generalist bench tech and then in Microbiology for LSU Medical Center, Shreveport for four years. For 10 years worked for Willis-Knighton Health System, Shreveport as Assistant Microbiology Supervisor. After relocating to Jackson, Mississippi area worked for University of Mississippi Medical Center for 11 years as Supervisor of Microbiology, Molecular, and Serology laboratories. In 2021, moved back home as Manager of Ochsner Health laboratories, Jeff Hwy. I am member of ASCP and ASM and sit on the Ochsner Health Antimicrobial Stewardship, Infection Prevention and Sepsis Collaborative committee for my hospital system.
