Dr. Sims is the Vice President of Clinical Diagnostics at Blackhawk Genomics. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Laboratory Director with expertise in molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, medical laboratory management and regulatory compliance.
Over her career, Dr. Sims has developed cutting edge diagnostic assays, contributed to internationally recognized standards, and presented at national and international conferences regarding diagnostics, precision medicine and groundbreaking technologies.
She volunteers as a mentor for the San Diego State University Aztec Mentor Program and is involved with organizations for the advancement of women and minorities in science and the corporate environment.
