Rick was a partner and healthcare practice group Chair with McDonald Hopkins, where he practiced for 42 years before retiring in 2022. His practice focused on pathology groups and labs. He founded GIG Consulting which provides business and strategic planning to laboratories. He now partners with Advanced Strategic Partners, an M&A advisory firm that focuses in the lab space. Rick has been involved in over 50 healthcare M&A transactions including the sale of independent labs and hospital system laboratories. Rick serves on the advisory boards of a number of healthcare companies, both within and outside of the lab arena.
