Melany Williams is currently a Director, Subject Matter Expert in the Mission Development and Organization Engagement, Laboratory Accreditation at The Joint Commission.
In this role, she utilizes her extensive 30 years of experience in the clinical laboratory setting to provide guidance and counsel to organizations seeking accreditation, to advance the common mission of improving healthcare quality and patient safety, and to understand the value of The Joint Commission’s products and services.
Earlier, she served as a Joint Commission Laboratory Surveyor where she helped organizations identify risks and opportunities for process improvement while ensuring that patients experienced safe, high-quality healthcare.
