Dr. Julie Hirschhorn is the System Director of Molecular Microbiology at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania.
She has extensive experience in overseeing clinical laboratory testing, ensuring high standards of accuracy and reliability. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hirschhorn actively engages in research and translational research opportunities. With extensive experience in molecular pathology and precision genomics, her current focus is in molecular microbiology.
She is adept at designing and validating molecular assays, including next-generation sequencing (NGS) and bioinformatics pipelines. Dr. Hirschhorn has authored numerous publications and book chapters in molecular diagnostics and has presented at the national level.
